I had been looking for euro nymphing rod,#2 over 10 feet length. Finally, I found Diamondback Ideal Nymph 10' 10” #2. By now I have tried it three times and caught four rainbowtrouts around 16 inches. It' very sensitive and easy to catch big trouts. I love it!!

The best reel i have used so far! Great weight and balances the 3wt 10'10 perfectly!

I absolutely love this rod! Together with the 3/4 wt reel it balances perfectly! Great action and great recovery-speed, makes it perfect for nymphing!

I own the aeroflex in a 9' 5wt, 9' 6wt, 9'7wt and a 9' 8wt. And they all perform great. Broke 2 of them, one was my fault other might of been a defect not sure, anyways they replaced both for a very reasonable price and got the replacement section to my house in less than a week both times. I fish them hard hard and if one does happen to break i will have a new piece within a week. I would definitely recommend this rod.

Crisp and responsive, well built rod.

Very happy with this rod. Use it primarily on the Madison in MT. Have landed several browns in the 18” range. Plenty of backbone to handle larger fish. Placement of the guides is excellent. Highly recommend the rod.

The 10’ 3# casts minuscule perdigons with deadly accuracy but has enough backbone to help you land bigger fish with ease. Add Diamondback’s great customer service to the mix for an unbeatable experience.

I had an older Diamondback Backwater DGS800 that broke. They sent me the Aeroflex Saltwater 9’0" 8wt and it is a great replacement. It casts great and is built very well.

What a rod. I have a 6wt Tactical Long rod and after talking with John, decided to get the Arroflex in 7wt. This rod casts effortlessly just like the Tactical Long. What a beauty! I also use it for my heavy sink line, and still effortlessly casting. I was sold on the Diamondback quality before, and now it is firmly concreted in my mind at how well these rods are built. Diamondback rods are the best kept secret in the industry. More shops need to carry them so people can enjoy them.

I purchased the Ideal Nymph 2wt and 4wt.
The 2wt for Pennsylvania trout and the 4 wt for Lake Erie steelhead.

I was able to test the 4wt out a decent amount the past year being that I live in Erie, Pa. After dialing in my tippet I’ve had no problems landing 20-26inch steelhead. I have not problem landing these fish in high strong currents as well.

As for the 2 wt. I have finally landed two wild browns of a lifetime on 6x tippet in very high waters. This was the moment I have been waiting for for so long and when I was finally in the moment of fighting these fish I had no questions in my mind of the ability of this 2wt.
Very pleased with the 2wt and 4wt purchases for my needs.

I also have the ideal nymph reel that I use on both 2wt and 4wt. The drag is precision!

As a beginner into the Euro nymphing world I recently upgraded to the 10’3wt and wow what a rod this has been. Very forgiving awesome action

This rod is a thing of beauty. Made to top quality specification, and the highest of quality materials. It ranks up there with the other "thousand dollar" top quality rods on the market, but is less expensive. Performance is superb.

I couldn’t leave it when my order was filled the next day. I’ve had to wait weeks to get a new tip from other companies.
